TiviMate on Firestick: install it and set it up the right way
In short: TiviMate works very well on Fire TV. Install it from an official source, choose Add playlist → Xtream Codes login, type the server, username and password from your email, and set the buffer to Medium. About 10 minutes in total.
Which Fire TV device to use
| Device | TiviMate experience |
|---|---|
| Fire TV Stick 4K Max / Fire TV Cube | Best: fast guide, 4K, Wi-Fi 6 |
| Fire TV Stick 4K | Very good for HD and 4K channels |
| Fire TV Stick (HD) / Lite | Good for HD; slower with very large playlists |
| Old 1st/2nd generation sticks | Works, but expect slow scrolling |
Install TiviMate on Firestick, step by step
Prepare the Firestick
Update Fire OS (Settings → My Fire TV → About → Check for updates) and restart. TiviMate runs best on a Fire TV Stick 4K, 4K Max or Fire TV Cube.
Install TiviMate from an official source
Search “TiviMate” on the Fire TV home screen. If it is not listed in your country, use only the install route the developer publishes, never a “premium unlocked” APK.
Open TiviMate and choose Add playlist
On first launch TiviMate asks for a playlist. Pick “Xtream Codes login”.
Type your login
Server address (with http:// and the port), username and password, exactly as in your activation email.
Let the channels and guide load
The first load takes about a minute. Then press Next and TiviMate opens the live TV guide.
Avoid modified APKs. “Premium unlocked” TiviMate files from download sites are outdated, do not update, and are a common cause of crashes and missing channels. Install the official app and buy Premium in the TiviMate Companion app if you want its extra features.
Best Firestick settings for TiviMate
- Buffer size: Settings → Playback → Buffer size → Medium (Large on weak Wi-Fi).
- Guide refresh: Settings → EPG → update every 24 hours, so the guide is always full.
- Start on boot: turn it on in TiviMate's general settings if the Firestick is only used for TV.
- Hide channel groups you never watch: the guide loads faster on a stick with limited memory.
All options are explained in the best TiviMate settings.
Keep the Firestick fast
Fire TV sticks have little storage. Uninstall apps you do not use, clear TiviMate's cache once a month (Settings → Applications → Manage installed applications → TiviMate → Clear cache), and restart the stick weekly. If channels still stutter, follow the TiviMate buffering guide.

Frequently asked questions
Is TiviMate good on Firestick?
Yes. TiviMate was built for TV remotes, and on a Fire TV Stick 4K or newer it is one of the smoothest IPTV players. Older 1st/2nd generation sticks work but feel slower with large playlists.
Which Firestick is best for TiviMate?
The Fire TV Stick 4K Max or the Fire TV Cube: more memory, faster Wi-Fi 6 and quicker guide scrolling. The basic Fire TV Stick (HD) is fine for HD channels.
How do I type the server address faster on Firestick?
Install the free Amazon Fire TV app on your phone and use its keyboard, or pair a Bluetooth keyboard with the stick.
TiviMate buffers on my Firestick. What can I do?
Set Settings → Playback → Buffer size to Medium or Large, use 5 GHz Wi-Fi or an Ethernet adapter, and clear the cache under Settings → Applications. Our buffering guide covers every step.
Can I use my TiviMate Premium on the Firestick?
Yes. Premium is bought in the TiviMate Companion app on an Android phone and then activated on the Firestick by signing in to the same TiviMate account.
